Bloggers Quilt Festival: Spring 2011 {The Color Wheel Quilt}


Amy at Amy's Creative Side is hosting a Blogger's Quilt Festival and you really ought to head over there and see all the beauty on display.

I decided to show off (again) my Color Wheel Quilt.


I love this quilt because it was the first quilt I really tried that when I started it, I wasn't sure I would know how to finish it.

I'm not all that skilled at following patterns and those curves freaked me out.

But I pushed through all that and did it.  And it really gave me confidence to push myself and try things I didn't think I could do.


It hangs in our playroom where we spend most of our days.


I love this quilt.

    I can see why you love this quilt. It's so bright and full of life. I think not knowing how a quilt is going to end is part of the fun. Seeing how it all comes together and loving the results. Thanks for sharing!

    Okay, I just spent an hour looking at everyone's quilts on that website. I am not being bias AT ALL, but your quilt is definitely one of my top three favorites. Your quilt is so unique and so original. I love your choice of fabrics and design. Just so you know, I also loved #149 and #256.

    I have to make this Quilt one Day, I have about half the Fabrics needed! Trouble is I keep pinching from the stash.
